On friday I went to the discount clothing store to buy a pair of white pants. I've never really owned a pair of white paints. I remember owning like pajama white pants but nothing I would wear outside. I found the pants and asked the girl at the counter if I could use the changing room, whom I've seen before there. After trying them on (they fit) I went to the counter to pay and she said,
"So they worked out for you?"
"Yeah. I never owned a pair of white pants before," I replied.
" I used to have a pair of white pants but It didn't quite work out."
"Did they get dirty?"
"Yeah. Im a art major so I got messy. But you look like you could handle them."
" Well Im a art minor."
"Oh yeah? At castleton?"
"Yeah."
"I think I've seen you on campus."
I nodd in saying, oh really.
I then asked her if she has taken Tom Mcglynns class and she said she wasn't sure if she should since he took over her fathers spot teaching there.
A customer comes to the counter and she attends to her. I step aside and when the girl and the counter is not distracted anymore, she turns back to me and I say, "Maybe I'll see you on campus."
"Yeah." she says smiling and nodding.
Today I started to alter the pants. Im tracing the sowing lines with black fabric marker. Maybe cutting one of the knees. Im thinking of going back on friday and show her what I've done with the pants. If I do I hope she doesn't think Im some weirdo. I wonder if she thought of anything about our little conversation. I hope she would like to talk to me, see me again.
